Vocabulary explosion

Chloe is talking more and more each day. I wanted to record some of her current words/phrases somewhere. She is 19 months and learning SO much. It amazes us all the time!

"It's not that bad"

"Red, stop. Green, go."

When I say ,I don't know. She will say, "I know."

More, please.

She knows all her colors including, grey, brown, black, and pink.

She knows all her body parts and just learned eyebrows today.

She recognizes certain letters. E for Elmo. C for Chloe and cookie. D for daddy. P for papa and cousin Patrick (pappy). L for Aunt Laura and cousin Lucy. H for cousin Hillary. I for ice cream. A for apple and her friend Aidan. B for bubbles and bottom. G for grandma (she calls her gra). J for jay, jay, jay(yep, short for jayhawks:). Q for quack. S for Uncle Steve. W for cousins Whitney and william. Z for cousin Zach. Basically, I will show her a letter and she will say the object or name that goes with that letter. Creeps me out sometimes.

Can say all the Sesame Street, Mickey mouse, and Dora characters. She usually SHOUTS their names too.

There is so much more I am sure, but I love talking to my little girl. Somedays I nearly go nuts because of the repetition, but it is a joy to be around her during this stage. I also like teaching her new words and concepts. BlogBooster-The most productive way for mobile blogging. BlogBooster is a multi-service blog editor for iPhone, Android, WebOs and your desktop

Catching up

I have been terrible at blogging, mostly because I was surprised by my parents with an iPad for Christmas and have been spending most of my time on there, still haven't found a great App for blogging yet (any suggestions?). It was an Oprah moment for sure. Lots of screaming between my sister and I (who got one too). Thanks Mom and Dad, you got us both!

Like most of the mid-west we have been hit with several weeks of extreme cold as well as lots of snow. We've had lots of inside time with attempts to be creative with a busy 19 month old. Since it has been so cold, I brought the snow into Chloe one afternoon. She enjoyed eating it mostly,
but also enjoyed how cold it was.

I have also enjoyed doing some projects, I made this 'bow center' for a friend at church that is having her 1st girl (already has 2 boys). It was loads of fun to make. I also made some curtains for our basement windows that turned out much better than I expected. Life here in Lincoln is feeling more like home everyday. This week I am most excited about my sister's store in Omaha grand opening Friday evening. I am SO proud of her and her husband taking this risk and doing something they love. Check out the super cool website that gives a taste of what the retail store will be like. It is called, Mae and Pearl.
